This song by Helen Forrest has been stuck in my head for almost sixty years.

For years I had the lyrics wrong and did not know the singer.  After all I was probably seven of eight when I heard the song played on an old RCA tube (remember them) radio that my father had.  I was disappointed as I wandered from one song to another.  And then one day I was able to knit together enough of the lyrics from the dusty corners of my mind to a word string that worked in a Google search.  It is a great song.
