The landmark Supreme Court ruling Roe v, Wade is all that stands between you and government officials telling you what you can do with your own body. There will likely be one or two vacancies on the U.S. Supreme Court in the next administration.
A Republican president will, not might, choose a Supreme Court Justice who will join the other four avowedly anti-abortion conservative members of the Court to overturn Roe v. Wade decisively. With Justice Kennedy who has been a swing, but conservative leaning, member, the Court will have six or seven votes to quash this ruling, forever.
For women, this is the prime issue of your lifetime as Supreme Court justices typically will spend up to forty years or more in their positions (it is a lifetime appointment). Don’t be fooled by Republicans saying that they do not use a Roe v. Wade litmus test; just look at their appointments: Scalia, Thomas, Alito, and Roberts: all ultra conservatives who generally vote as a block against any issue that affects women.
IF MITT WINS, YOU LOSE.
