Summary: In the above case, defense lawyers were successful in using the “Twinkie Defense” to reduce the conviction of Dan White in the murder of Harvey Milk and George Moscone to manslaughter on the basis that White’s addiction to junk food made him insane.  This was called, “The Twinkie Defense.”
