DARPA, the Department of Defense’s think tank has now developed a robotic worm that can inch its way into all sorts of places that it shouldn’t go. Called the Meshworm, it mimics actual earthworms in how it moves from place to place.  The prospects for intelligence gathering and even delivery of weapons has now been enhanced dramatically.  You won’t want to be using one of these for fishing.
